Yes, I'm overweight... But I lost 45lbs since the beginning of the year...

Anyway, yes I visited my uncle today, I thought we've been getting along better... Then he pointed to his display case... Explaining they found a pair of my underwear from when I was staying with them, and stuck them in the display case because they thought it was funny... Then he made a joke that they were way too big for him and in fact, maybe both him and his roommate would fit in them at the same time... His roommate, his grandson and his grandsons girlfriend were there and they all were laughing...

Why be so cruel???

Edit: still planning my escape... Applied to two more jobs today that would require me moving... One of them is a permanent government position too that I was excited about because you can get non-competitive hiring because of disability and within Michigan... Then I checked out where it is in Michigan and it's in metro Detroit area.... Okay....

That's just awful. :-( As someone who has struggled with weight since adolescence, I totally empathize with your struggle. Losing 45 lbs is a very awesome achievement! Don't be discouraged. Godspeed with your escape plans, and keep fighting that good fight!!

Yes, get out of there. Your uncle is a dick.

Wow...Your uncle is a waste of oxygen. Hope you'll be leaving that behind sooner rather than later.

Good job on the weight loss!

Your uncle is as toxic as botulism. Take any job you think you can do and move far away and don't give your uncle your address or phone number. Maybe stage your own death while you're at it so he never bothers you or comes looking for you again.

Congratulations on losing weight. So they “found” your underwear, eh? I wouldn’t be surprised if they stole your underwear. They are creepy perverts, aren’t they? Anyway, I’m glad you’re planning on leaving. You don’t need them. All they do is bring you down. Good luck.

Well, I'm having a hard time finding jobs suitable for me... I did for example find a place hiring for two 11 month Americorps positions in Idaho working with live birds of prey advertising they were suitable for disabled people, but moving to Idaho would be difficult... but if I can make it there, Boise Idaho also has a university grad program working with birds of prey I am very interested in, but I would have to take the GRE again and somehow get letters of recommendation to apply. There is also the interpretive park ranger position in Metro Detroit that sounded interesting.

The 45 pound loss is excellent. I’ve only lost 10 pounds in 6 months.

You must not be too fat....you’re more a contortionist :)

I hope you get out of the clutches of your uncle.

Your weight loss is a terrific accomplishment!
congratulations on something a LOT of people cannot do!
If your toxic uncle has been part of your life for a long time, that can have a very bad effect on your self image.
He sounds like he builds himself up by putting others down.
I sincerely hope that you can disassociate from him; he is poisonous.

More congrats on the weight loss.

The words to describe your uncle are not printable.

Apply to everything. Something will come through.

He sounds like the Uncle from hell and a bully, have you got any other relatives that you can talk to?
