Conservative Americans now have the same paranoid mindset of the McCarthy Era. They think anybody they don't agree with is a communist (or a terrorist) and deserves to be locked up and tortured to death. Oh and we're now in another Cold War with China to boot.

It's worse than that; my TV now only receives 2 channels (and they're both in black & white), my car has sprouted fins over the rear tires, and the only music on the radio is either Pat Boone, Frank Sinatra, or Elvis Presley.

Maybe it's a mix of the 50's and 60's? With the racial riots going on.

I would imagine 3 or 4 channels (can't forget Dumont). Though, as with now, NBC probably sucked.

The left ate the ones who exhumed McCarthy, not the right.

I had the enjoyable experience of going to see Jello Biafra speak...during the "punk against Bush" tour. It was fun. There was one particularly loud guy who kept yelling "F that, F that sh*t!" standing behind me...

Except we have lost all workers rights. No unions, etc. - our economies are structured totally different now, and while there's a cold war with China there's also the most intense economic interaction with China. They make everyone's stuff.

All I can feel for the people who are destroying everything that was ever good about my country is bitterness and resentment. I'm sorry but those narcissists don't deserve one ounce of empathy or compassion from me.

I have been diagnosed with childhood schizophrenia. Wrong Planet and my computer, they are not real but delusions caused a combination of drug experiments on me and too much time on my hands here at the Loony Toons Institute for Mental Defectives.

McCarthy was right. There may have been stealth socialists back in the Cold War era, but today we have open socialists serving in Congress, such as Bernie Sanders and Ihan Omar. So history has proven McCarthy out and he is owed an apology.

Joe McCarthy is owed nothing.
