Slow forum?

I used to read wrongplanet a long time ago, but I notice that activity has slowed down a bunch.

What accounts for the lack of activity? Did people simply move to similar discussions on social media services where conversations are more "aggregated"?

WrongPlanet used to be the only show in town; but a combination of erratic moderation, trollery, and the creation of other autism-friendly websites has diminished the quantity of active members here.

People have moved onto Twitter or Facebook or Tumblr. Those have seemed to replace forums.

The software often is unfriendly to use.

Alex has updated the software and added moderators but there is more work to do.
