Hehehe. My turn to be sorry. The "you insensitive clod" line is a recurring meme on Slashdot whenever there's a multiple-choice question that has no possible answer for some people due to reasons of nationality, religion, etc. It's intended as a joke.

I got that much, I couldn't figure out how that joke worked, though. Thanks for the explanation!

I'm taking my test to get my permit tomorrow. Anyone have any tips?

Nope, but good luck! You oughtta be proud of yourself just for having the guts to go through with it, imho. My own driver's ed/test experiences were a nightmare. I bombed the road test the first time, because I basically had a panic attack during the test; it took me more than 10 years to get up the nerve to try it again. :(

I failed my first drivers test because I got distracted by the tester and I totally missed a stop sign.

Ruddy signs and stupid incapability of multitasking. I should have driven the course prior so I knew where all the signs were.

PS- Does anyone miss stop signs in areas they aren't familiar with? I do that all the time. So I only drive in familiar areas. :D

One time i missed a stop sign because we were driving in an area where the speed limit was 5 f*****g miles per hour and in my brain we were moving so slow that it didnt even occur to me to stop.

I failed my driving test because I drove at the speed of traffic instead of the speed limit posted. Don't call me dumb yet, though: my driving instructor (not the one who tested me) lectured me for toeing the speed limit against the will of traffic, and told me the best thing to do around other cars was always to go with the flow. Great idea, teach!
