How would the media report on the OKC bombing if it happened today?

Less speculation, more facts.

Coverage was identical.

Except for the fact that Mc Veigh, the perp, was caught within 24 hours of the Oklahama bombing.

So this mystery stage that we are in now had ended by this time.
They HAD more facts by this time. So there was suddenly no reason for speculation

So...next topic.

Huge difference is in the intent of the bombings. Even if we don't know the motivation of the Nashville bomber yet, the pre-explosion warning made it clear that he wanted to kill as few people as possible. The OKC bomber on the other hand intentionally killed as many as he could.

There's been talk that he had been involved in the little known 5G cell phone conspiracy theories, which entail ideas such as being the cause of cancer, and even Covid. Pro-Trump conspiracy lawyer, L. Lin Wood, has even jumped into the fray, claiming that the suspect was really an actor, taking part in a government plot leading up to the bombing.

They used to think cell phones caused cancer back in the 90s.

There always has been tinfoilism.

This person wasn’t bent on killing people—unlike the homicidal McVeigh.
