He goes between saying he's autistic & saying things which I don't think even the most autistic person would think & with his jokey tone I'm not sure if it's a joke or not.

He's pretty ableist so it sounds like the kind of thing he'd say as a joke.

Who is this "Vaush" person?

I can't always tell the difference between joke & not joke so it's not a case of 'not believing' people. Just, when it's said in a certain tone it sounds like a joke.

I think that he just wants to own it. There is an element of getting past certain minority status that comes from being able to somewhat joke about one's own experiences. An example I have heard of are people who are physically disabled, such as bound to wheelchair, being able to joke about it. But generally it should be done under the terms of people who have that experience, not just a joke punching down, and not everyone even within that minority group are going to agree on what.

Wow then he's even more socialist than I am - on a fundamental level. I believe in socialism on a political level, but that the human brain has other advantages over other animals and our ultimate power is found in our overall gift for intelligence. His recent video about 'Bean Dad' suggested that the only advantage we have over other animals is our ability to work together.

I disagree that humans are necessarily more tribal than other animals - at least when it comes to pre-literate society. Within cities, we muddle through because it's best for the individual to have a range of resources. Reading doesn't really count, it can be done at a distance as is modern tech like TV, online video & radio. But we can outwit other animals, make tools etc, and that's why humans can beat lions in fights despite our bodies being so weak comparatively.
