While it will vary by locale a lot of woke things are going to become policy now. Whomever objects or argues for even moderate positions are going to have the debate basically closed because you and whatever you are arguing for WILL be associated with the MAGA’s and their Republican enablers.
Argue for civility the MAGA existential has to dealt with forcefully.
Don’t like Antifa or BLM riots, time to shut you down for comparing a few broken widows with storming the capital
Don’t agree with critical race theory, you can have your opinion but not the facts which are,Trump, Trump, Trump, MAGA, MAGA, MAGA

I must to add to them all of the hard core MAGA’s and all of the he sucks but but but I like some of his policies and the judges he picked. Add to them most definitely he is the lesser of two evils people.
Deal with it.

Actually I could see something quite the opposite as well.
House and senate look like they'll be blue thanks to Georgia. Republicans at the electoral voting repudiated the run on the building.
Either The Hill or Useful Idiots were suggesting that Biden would rather have a red house, senate, or both as an excuse not to get things done and to let the corporate money do what it wants. Now things are going to be highly competitive on the Democrat side. This might force a shakeout in the party - the question is in what direction? It's too soon to tell but it's fair to say that there are other important factions than just woke and neoliberal.

Everything since WWII, WF Buckley, Goldwater, Reagan, the Contract with America, the Tea Party, MAGA, has led to America becoming a laughingstock and defenseless against its enemies. The sooner there's some radical change the better.
Is this the definition of "Partisanship"?
"My way or the highway"?

Trump has left conservatives defenseless. The shame of Trump will brand republicans for years to come (or so I hope). It will be a specter that could be brought up at any moment to undermine whatever conservative position they are advocating. But given how eagerly they latched onto him, were the really that defensible to begin with?
The base adored him. Those in the base who didn't still mostly chose him rather than go with Hillary or Joe--who (damn them) are not morally comparable to Don. The republican establishment enabled him for fear of alienating their base. Because what are they gonna do? Look for support outside their core base? Curry favor with moderates? Nah! They chose to double down on their support of the egomaniac until a mob of his own making came trying to bust down the door.
Those in my generation born after the Cold War have experienced only 2 republican presidencies. Those in my generation who look at those presidencies and see them as proof of republican competence and morality are people whose judgment i do not trust.
Here's hoping republicans will try to overcompensate by going radical moderate.

But, it's not fair to over-generalize. Most Republicans have rejected most, if not all challenges to the election results, including today when the Electoral College votes are being ratified. There has been some talk about the party splitting into a less corrupt one that respects their country and its constitution, and one who pledges their loyalty to a rich orange idiot first and foremost. I highly doubt anything nearly so formal will happen, but there could very well be a party that's divided in a different sense going forward, which probably won't do it any favours.
From a layperson standpoint, I'm also well aware that the average Conservative is not some anti-democracy terrorist who acts like they're on meth 24/7 (for all I know, some of them might be).
Yes, it's true that Trump has done some serious damage to the Conservative movement. Well, him and some of his supporters. It takes a team effort to do that much damage.

Also, I can't think of any examples off the top of my head where extremism has benefitted any movement, short of violently quashing any resistance. In those cases, people are usually either too afraid to object, or too dead to.

We agree with how it is going to play out, disagree on whether it is a good thing. Nope will never agree that replacing illiberalism with another type of illiberalism is a good thing.

The "woke" victory won't come in the form of hate speech laws, they are unconstitutional, it won't come from Washington with Biden as President and a 50-50 Senate where Joe Manchin is the power broker. It will come from where the tremendous gains they made in 2020 came from at the local, state, corporate, and cultural levels.
True most Trump supporters are not alt-right terrorists but they were all complicit. There have been 5 years of warnings about what might happen. While the coming "woke" illiberalism will in my view be really bad in my view every one who voted for Trump for whatever reason was COMPLICIT and DESERVES what is about to befall them.
