We Blacks and Hispanics stick together to protect ourselves. (I am Dominican from NYC and the Latin Kings gang BEFORE it got corrupted with crime was a way for Dominicans/Latinos/Blacks to stick stick together to fight discrimination in NYC/Chicago. NOT ADVOCATING that we should form criminal gangs! Rather we should form LEGAL gangs. What I also like is how the black/hispanic community also call each other “brother” and “sister” this is a WONDERFUL tradition that I think we should copy. We don’t have to be united by “race” (since some of us have been bullied by our respective "races", but by our challenges. Many of us have no friends and face social/job discrimination However most friendships are formed through similarities and being able to relate to each other. Our challenges is one commonality we have. Plus no one will pick on us due to us being a collective unit. (in the olden days blacks/Hispanics were picked on but NOT ANYMORE due to operating as a collective unit and striking FEAR into racists through legal/social reforms and by larger numbers.

When you say "stick together" do you mean in person or simply communicating on issues and share a similar strategy in approaching situations?

I'm guessing he moreso means supporting each others interests like helping with networking, offering mutual aid, etc.

Makes sense the way you put it but I had to ask what he meant since he brought up gangs as a comparison, most of whom hang out in person together.

When they live in the same physical community they might, unless business demands otherwise. Criminal enterprises are still enterprises after all.

Even he said he meant unrelated to criminal activities and enterprises. I was more trying to point out about the difference that race has nothing to effect your ability to hang out in a group but an ASD most likely would leave you prefering to talk to someone through a computer screen over an in person meeting even if the person or people you were talking with were geographically close to you to make an in person meeting possible.

There are autism advocacy groups. ASAN for example. The neurodiversity movement came from autistics.

Basically a gang is an enterprise that exists both to generate some sort of revenue as well as to provide mutual aid to it's members through networking and assistance in whatever ventures it's members might partake so long as they're aligned with the group's interests.

It doesn't matter if they meet face to face or not (even if that's common), it doesn't inherently have to be involved in black market activities (even if that's common), etc.

Some punk labels used to basically operate along those lines, people who wanted the attention of the label would put in labour working as a street team, putting up flyers or distributing demos or whatever. They generally wouldn't be compensated much at this point but it made it far more likely that if they had something recorded that the label would promote it. If their music generated enough returns they'd end up doing less grunt work. Once one had invested enough time and effort they might end up fully supported by their work for the label, whether it's performing or production or whatever.

That also seems to be close to the business model used in parts of right-wing media, only with large amounts of outside money coming from donors who control the dialogue for the most part.

why don't we ASD try to all physically move to the same area? i mean its not like we have much to lose.

A. wallow in isolation
or
B. take the risks of forming communities but at least gain more than rotting in our bedrooms

Autistic people tend to prefer to do things alone.

Ethnicity has nothing to do with personality.

Autistic people need to find ways to do things apart but for the sake of us all. This is already happening.
