I have a few friends that I'm really close to, and others that I'm not. And sometimes that'll vary...

I've got close friends, and i've got less close friends. Those i am close with. They could f*****g find my wandering around in their pants and only be slightly curious why i was there and what i was doing.

I have about two people that I'm very close friends to and see often.

I'm friends with a lot of other people, but I never see them unless I have to (i.e. school, extracurricular activities, random meetings, etc.).

Other than Mel I have one close friend. He lives fifty miles away now though, and moved in with his girlfriend a few months back so he doesn't come out to play much lately. :P I have a few online friends also who I talk to fairly often.

Depends. Sometimes I feel quite close but most of the time I feel like I am on my own island which is inaccessable. No one to understand. No one to care. I hate that.

I don't have any friends. I have a couple of 'mates, who I can do things with, but I wouldn't say that I could turn to these people or anything.

I have my husband, who I suppose is my friend as well. I can tell him most things and we think the same about a lot of things. I am close to him, but not really to anyone else.

I'm usually fairly aloof. I consider most of the people that I know to be acquaintances, rather than freinds (at this point) though I do have one fairly close freind, though he's in Maine, and I'm in South Carolina :?
That being said, I think that the term freindship is a term that is overused.

I have a couple of people who are mediocre or close friends, but other than that, I'm pretty distant. It's easier to talk online to people than it is to hang out at their house or go see a movie or something, so I have a few online friends.

What friends? :?

Seriously though, I have one friend, but I'd say that's because she does all the "friend" work. She looooooooves to talk (Brooklyn girl transplanted to eastern PA), and I am content just to listen and enjoy her generous hospitality. I never have to come up with subjects to talk about, or even respond to her chatter. I just listen, munch pretzels, drink wine.

I'm convinced her 9yo son and 15yo daughter are both aspies. Very much like their dad, who I don't know as well. Maybe that's why she likes me. :D And why her son likes my son.

I have a friend whose house is basically a hotel. People come, people go, whatever. I usually stay there until about 3 AM on long nights. I'd probably consider myself good friends with a few people and a close friend with maybe 1 person. I'm easy to deal with, normally quiet depressing loaner type person am I.

I have my husband, who is truly my friend in the sense that NT's mean friend (according to him :) ).

I learned to say "friends" when I mean "people I do stuff with", like dog training or work or professional associates. Partly because I do enjoy them and they like me, and in a large part because when I say truthful things like "I don't have any friends" most people think that means there is a deficit in my life and I must be mourning and longing to fill it (or I'm depressed).

The simple truth is that I have interesting people to talk to, but I don't really make "regular" NT type friends. They are very high maintenance. So am I. So I take care of me :D

But really, I work in a nice geek profession, with nice geek toys, and people who like to talk about interesting things, so I don't want much more than that.
