Think it is time for another ..Mars rover landing this one is suppose to be as big as a car, and landing this
Evening on Mars .....l There still is a great curiosity for life on that planet . One of these days if we find it ?
What happens if their civilization is superior to are own ? Just thinking out loud.

This is the first image Perseverance sent from Mars.

Just minutes after landing on Mars, NASA's Perseverance rover beamed back this image to Earth.  It is the first of many the rover will send while it's on its mission on the planet.

Isn't it amazing how we can send probes to Mars....and land at almost the precise spot that was set aside as the landing spot?

Which parts? The descent routine was quite complex and landing in Martian atmosphere is generally tricky - it's too thin to easily slow the lander with parachutes but too thick not to interfere.

It is complex only in timing and execution.  Otherwise, it is mostly computers, cameras, servos, and rockets.  It is not too dissimilar to some of the equipment I have worked on in both the civilian and military contexts.  It is just faster, higher-quality, and more expensive.
