Who do you think asked if Archie (Prince Harry's kid) was going to be 'too brown' or not?

I'm thinking either Charles or William.

If it's Charles then I think both the Dodi and/or James Hewitt rumours might be true. Maybe he doesn't give a crap how he treats Harry cos Harry isn't really his and maybe Diana was pregnant with Dodi's baby and they couldn't handle it because the baby would be mixed race. Maybe the Harry not being his is why they denied Archie the title.

Charles isn't taking Harry's calls which makes me strongly suspect it's him.

If it's William that's disgusting, can't even be explained by 'another time' excuses and surely he knew black people at Uni but it'd explain the rift between the two brothers.

It's not the queen or Prince Philip.

If it's Andrew then just say it - hardly gonna ruin his reputation.

If it's anyone else, honestly who gives a crap? Just say 'it wasn't a major royal' or even 'it wasn't a major royal but we're a bit upset cos it was Meghan's friend Eugenie'. Actually we know it wasn't Eugenie because the comments said 'he' so that rules out the women.

The only person who gets to decide if Archie is a prince or not is the queen. If comment was real and came from someone relevant, it likely originates from the queen and was just repeated.

I think that comment was in very bad taste.

I think the papers here suggest Charles was the culprit since its his grandchild and he's a relic/dinosaur like his father from a bygone era so is most likely to utter this type of crap in Harry's ear.

I'd like to know what was actually said. If they were worried the kid would be "too brown" and that tied in with whether or not he'd be a prince it's terrible but the news said he wasn't going to be a prince yet anyway (being a great-grandchild) and wondering what colour skin a baby will have is different that being concerned about it. Although perhaps if I'd experienced racism in the past I'd see both as equally bad.

(I didn't watch the interview, just had trouble not being bombarded by news about it.)

I'm curious as to whether it will turn out to have been Prince George or Princess Charlotte...

The queen is the only one to decide titles.

But she allowed the marriage (yes I know that sounds terribly old fashioned to those of us who aren't royal...) so she doesn't have a problem with it.

So I think it's two separate things.

Worrying and wondering are two separate things but in my generation it'd be known not to say the latter for fear that you might be interpreted as the former. That's why I'm thinking Charles.

When my nephew was born, my stepdad asked. In the same tone of 'is it a boy or a girl'. And was lambasted for asking. He was just curious. People that age are 'from a different time' and this would be especially true with royals.

If it is then they shouldn't broadcast it and throw a hissy fit...

Kids ask stupid questions.

That's what I was thinking. If me and my husband were different races we would totally have talked about our baby's potential skin colour like we did their hair colour but we wouldn't mention it about other people's babies.

Bah ha ha. Camilla holds no sway. If she had said it I think Harry would have just brushed it off. (Unless she said it in the sense "Your father and I feel...")

Yeah I agree with the OP that it must be either Charles or Wills, but I'm betting Charles. First, he's just that socially clueless and removed (is he autistic maybe?). Second, Harry swearing he will never discuss it means he is being loyal to someone he is unwilling to damage. Harry's in an uncomfortable place, between warring wife and family-of-origin.

The butler did it.

Aw, c'mon, man! That's such a stereotype! Have some imagination.

I don’t think it was Charles.
I also don’t think it would have been brought up if it was a blood relative, that would be true loyalty.I doubt he likes Camilla,so no loyalty there.
Second guess, Kate.

So, this evil Greek billionaire named Mikkos is looking for a diamond called The Ice Princess, and as luck would have it, so is Luke.  It turns out that the only reason Mikkos wants the rock is to take over the world, and to show he means business, he uses a machine to make a blizzard randomly appear in Port Charles.  If his demands aren't met, Mikkos plans on plunging the entire world into an ice age.  Luckily, Luke and Laura manage to turn off the machine and kill Mikkos.  However, Mikkos' widow -- Elizabeth Taylor, of course -- shows up at Luke and Laura's wedding and places a curse on them for killing her husband. The story is concluded by a secret investigator who asked, "What color will the baby be?"

Much better!
