Hi all,

I have aspergers and adhd, and have developed a simple treatment for my ADHD and want to share it. I will explain the details later if asked, and ask for people to try it and post the results here.
Dudes it has worked for me for 7 months and will likely work for everyone (I hope).
No drugs, no ongoing cost, no side effects. Please don't be negative until you've tried it at least.

The Treatment - Obtain a dark pair of sunglasses, preferably with large lenses that cover peripheral vision.
Take the left-eye lens right out.
Now just wear them. In 45 to 120 mintues most or all adhd symptoms will be lessened or gone, including mind focus shifting (attention deficit) and general body malaise.

That's it.

Please help test this if you or friends have ADHD, and give feedback.
I'll be back occasionally to discuss.

Does the symptoms only go whilst wearing the glasses? If so then it might not work for me, as I need to lessen my symptoms the most when I'm at work. But I don't think I will get much social respect if I go around with large dark glasses on with the left lenses taken out. Plus peripheral vision is essential in my particular work environment.

Hi Joe90,
Here's some detail.
Dark glasses work the same as blacked out glasses.
Very light glasses (1/2 brightness) work well, but weaker, all day until stress, pain, tiredness sets in. Dark still works in these circumstances.
I wear very light glasses when out and there not very distracting, and easily explained.

Also, when you've worn them a lot, you can take them off for 2 to 5 hours before adhd starts up again.
I found I could get away with two two hour sessions per day, but I wear them everyday most of the time because adhd is so painful.

I hope I covered it.

I had a stroke and lost vision in my left eye, and then developed diplopia (double vision) for years. I had to do visual retraining which involved what you describe. I had glasses with the left eye blocked out. I had an eye patch. I had glasses with only a pin prick hole to look through, so my pupils would be forced to look straight ahead.

Sorry, I'm still ADHD.

Thanks IsabellaLinton,
The left eye being blocked has no effect whatsoever. I said right eye.
The right eye leads through the right hemisphere, and effects the backed up buffer effected by the midbrain disconnect to the neocotex (prenatal genetic).
AFAIK, by creating an imbalance between left & right hemispheres, it looks like the two hemispheres can act separately so (something like) conscious focus is assigned to only the right, and left side can do logic etc. So the confusion/focus/swapping is no longer needed.

Also the effect is temporary like drugs are. Adhd is relieved not cured, I hope it can work with others.
