The pandemic is the cause for every stress in my life

I have 3 major problems in my life that the pandemic is responsible for; work, money and my mum.

If it wasn't for the pandemic, my mum would have gotten the care she needed and maybe the cancer wouldn't have spread, but because her treatment had to be put on hold last year she is now suffering severely and the cancer could be too far gone. So because of the pandemic, the NHS had failed her.

If it wasn't for the pandemic, money wouldn't be too much of an issue for my and my partner because he probably would have been in another job by now. His chances of finding work is limited because he has some health issues that could affect his work performance (but not enough to be able to medically retire), and also the recession this pandemic has put us in has made jobs even more scarce. We live in an overpopulated area where there's a lot of unemployment and whatever job you go for, about 200 other people have gone for the same job.

If it wasn't for the pandemic my job wouldn't be so stressful. Before the pandemic my job was such a laid-back job, now we have to make sure everything's disinfected, which takes up a lot of our time on top of all the other things we have to do, but they won't hire an extra person or offer us more hours because of the low budget.

So, yeah, the pandemic is the cause of everything that has gone wrong in my life. I wish I had the power to kill those Chinese government bastards. I hate them more than Kim Jong Un and Donald Trump. And that is an understatement.

Oh dear. That is quite a bit of stress and frustration.
Even though it won't heal your mom, do let her know that someone in a little farm burg across the ocean cares how she is.
And how you and fiance are.

Thank you for your kind words.

I just feel completely out of control with all that's going on. Me and most of my loved ones haven't even had COVID and nobody I love has died from it, yet it has still affected me in every other way.
My mum is suffering, and I think this could have been avoided and her life would have been saved if it wasn't for this pandemic.
Why haven't they found a cure for cancer yet? I hate cancer. It's cruel and shouldn't exist.

I hear ya.
Sometime during the years I was married, 2005 to 2011, one of my wife's cousins died from metastasized breast cancer.
She had a husband and 3 school age children. :(
