This is my first post in the Haven.
Sometimes my Trust plummets. I want to keep away from people. Even WP people.
At those times trust is hard. I feel vulnerable.
Someone said that there are two human needs - the need to be "A Part Of" and a need to be "Apart From".
There are times I don't mind being different. There are times when I hate it - and it really hurts.
There are times I want to be "A Part Of" and times when I want to be "Apart From".
They both hurt at times.
Yesterday was "Apart From" at the end of the day. I had two meetings with two different groups.
I didn't make either of them.
I chose unhealthy "self care" instead of healthy "self care".
Today I need to rebuild and walk back out of the desert.

It sucks to feel “less than”—most definitely.

There are some deserts which could be very scenic.

Hugs, Fenn.

I like your phrase about wanting to feel "a part of" wanting to be "apart from". That's very well put.

I feel the same way. Likewise, I have a very hard time trusting anyone because of trauma. I like to stay in safe spaces (for lack of a better word) on here, like the games threads and posting music. It's helped me to get to know some regulars and bond over laughs and lighthearted topics where there's nothing to lose.

I hope to see you around on the games threads more.

The more the merrier!

PS - Go build a birdhouse! :P
