I had a look at their history. The best of a bad lot, considering they were much more tolerant of homosexuals than most evangelists....

too bad they weren't tolerant of poor people. I called them once in a drinking jag and got their ideals full force. It seems because I was so 'stingy' of giving them my hard earned money the Devil himself was carving a cave in hell for me to dwell in. I told them I would be glad to have a place to finally call my own and hung up.

RIP Tammy Faye, you made Mary Kay rich by making it ok for the ultra religious to wear make up.

In the last few years of her life she did some infomercial with the conman Kevin Trudeau. So I have little respect for her.

In a magazine article, I saw a picture of her before she started wearing all that make-up. I think she looked prettier without all that gunk on her face.

I'm guessing that Kevin's 'natural cure' didn't do much for Tammy...

Evidently not. 65 isn't all that old, really.

It does sound weird that the ex-wife of a evangelical Christian pastor would be such good friends with someone who is supposedly a Scientologist.

I have no idea. I know John Travolta was a Scientologist when he was still on Welcome Back Kotter. Also, Tom Cruise was a Scientologist very early in his career.
