It is amazing how many types of bricks there are. There were lots of manufacturers from the famous Trimsaran brick which was in demand worldwide which were well known and sought after as being some of the hardest bricks, to the less common but specific use bricks for industrial use.
Most local areas had their own bricks or shipped in better bricks if needed if their clays were not such good quality.
Now some bricks are not so well known because brick collectors may not have thought about them, and I wonder how many have these in their collections.

And these :-

Now I did not know which section of the forum to place this thread, but I saw the heading "Off The Wall" and thought that walls and bricks go nicely together.

So there we have it. Bricks! Interesting things! Every home should have one!

These could be useful(the 00 scale) for the layout!

I’ve recently built a scale model of a cinema and an old Inn, but here are what others have been doing …

The sixth picture down is a Metcalfe card kit. Is the one above it a Wills wall kit?

Metcalfe are my favourite kits, while “Superquick” have an interesting range(I have a retro Fire Station to build and have a 1940s Fire Engine and RAF fire tenders ready for it. I’m not familiar with Wills Wall kits …

If you were an American child anywhere from 1968-2001, and maybe even later, you probably now have the Mr. Roger's Neighborhood theme song in your head from seeing those model buildings...at least I do.

Superquick kits have been the same since the 1940's with only a few new kits since then.

Metcalfe kits one used to have to cut every window and door out, and they came from the early 1990's, but modern Metcalfe kits now come with precut windows and doors etc.

Being Australian, I’d never heard of Mr Rogers before, but watched the Tom Hanks film about him and now I get it :P!

That would be 1:64 scale, S scale track gauge is 22,48 mm, 0.885 in.
