I’m 78 and otherwise in good health. I have been a major contributor to a music site but, for the last few years have contributed almost nothing and have lost interest in the whole world of music. Is this the "burn-out" they’re talking about?

I can't access the article, but given your age, "retirement" sounds more likely. Burn out is more about focussing so much for so long that the ignored factors pile up to overwhelming.
