A 46-year-old mum was saved from being evicted from her flat in South London this morning (November 11) by a group of demonstrators.
The private tenant, Lisa Johnson, was allegedly going to be escorted from the property in Tooting by bailiffs at 10am. She has a 17-year-old son with ADHD and autism.
A group of around seven protestors gathered outside Anderson House in Fountain Road to try and stop the eviction.
And when bailiffs arrived at around 10.15am they 'asked if they would be let through then left', according to MyLondon's reporter at the scene Josh Bolton.
Activists are from the Wandsworth Renters' Group and Wandsworth Against Racism.
Ms Johnson told MyLondon she had been privately renting the property but had been served an eviction notice over an issue with the mortgage.
Everything we know so far
Protestors have begun to leave the streets after successfully denying entry to bailiffs and locksmiths. This is everything we know so far:
Bailiffs arrived at 10am today to evict private tenant Lisa Johnson, 46, from Henderson House on Fountain Road, Tooting

Ms Johnson told MyLondon she had been privately renting the property but had been served an eviction notice over an issue with the mortgage on the property
She claims the bank stepped in to foreclose
Ms Johnson, who is on Universal Credit and is in college, reached out to Wandsworth Council for accommodation for herself and her 17-year-old son, who has autism and ADHD
The council offered her two bedsits but Ms Johnson turned down the offer on the basis they would not meet her son's needs.

When it comes to foreclosure she's against the clock and she knows it. It's better to have a house not necessarily well suited to her son's needs than to wear down the clock and have no house at all like she's seemingly aiming for.
Considering her son's disability isn't physical, it's makes me wonder if she's just being hard work.
It's one of those things that's out of her hands and she can never have the final say when dealing with banks.
