It seems that she makes them everyday, so if we are going to hang out, we cannot do much else other than have dinner because the dinners she makes take so long to make because they are so fancy. She doesn't like the idea of a faster dinner she says and she is just not that type. But I want to do more things with her though, but seems she just doesn't want to get out of the kitchen. Should this be a problem, or am I making too much of it perhaps?

Be grateful, that shes conscious of what she puts into her body. Oh I see, you wanna get her out of the kitchen and in the bedroom, is that it?

Not the bedroom specifically, but get her out to do something out and about or to a movie or something even. Just something else other than dinner all the time.

Trade her in for a sportier, faster model. 8)

I did once so far. She said that it's just really hard for her to change her cooking routine and is just use to taking her time to making elaborate meals.

Get an Xbox and play games until she is finished cooking. 8)

But then I don't get to spend as much time with her though, because after she cooks, then it's dinner, then bed time pretty much. So it's not like waiting till she is finished means we will be spending more time together as a result.

Get her to teach you how to cook.

Well maybe help her cook the dinner? My boyfriend does most of the cooking because he's much better at it..I think I am much better at doing dishes than cooking. But I still help with the cooking like peeling garlic and rinsing the veggies so he can chop them and helping stir things, plus I do most of the dishes. Makes it go quicker and gives us more time for other things.

Plus we both like to listen to music quite a bit so we usually put on some music we both like and that makes it a more fun activity.

I do try to help but she's so elaborate that she likes to do her own thing more so. I can't keep up with the unpredictable elaborateness of what she has in mind with her meals.

Also, even we can have dinner together and make it fun, I don't want this to be most of the relationship when we hang out together. I just feel there are other things to do in a relationship besides dinner all the time.

Aren't there any quality restaurants, where you live?

There are but sorry, perhaps I should explain more. Why do we have to eat dinner every time? Can't we go to a movie or hang out with some friends, or go to some event, etc? Why does it have to dinner each time, wether at home, or out, etc?

You have an odd relationship, imo.

Go to a movie.
After the movie, have dinner at a nice restaurant and discuss the movie.
I don't understand why this is a problem.

Well it's just that I cannot afford to go out to eat every time. But at the same time, I want to do more than just have a 2 hour long cooking session, and eat and that's the whole date. Can't we just have a 20 minute dinner and then go out and do something else with our time, is what I am wondering.

Hmmm maybe something to consider if you want to take this relationship to the next level. It does sound a little strange her fixation with cooking herself. My sister is fanatic about cooking her own food and sourcing buying her own ingredients which means she's a pain to live with.
