I think by now we have all heard of "Godwin's Law" (e.g., as an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Adolf Hitler approaches 1).

I also think there is a similar "Law" involving God or God's will; eventually the probability of invoking either one (or both) approaches 1.

Do you think this is so, and if you do, what do you think this "Law" should be named?

Of course, if the topic is already about God or God's will, then the question is rendered moot.

I did not "create" it so much as I noticed it as a trend.  Three requirements are necessary:

1) The discussion begins on a non-religious topic.

2) Someone insists that God or God's will is somehow involved in the events being discussed.

3) The discussion devolves to include long-winded and incomprehensible speeches on what everyone should or should not believe.

I wasn't referring to a cartoon fictional rabbit character, Ernst Stavro Blofeld's bodyguard or a Boeing B-29 Superfortress, I meant thumpers of the bible.

That is supposing of course
That it does go a few pages
Without devolving into
A heated discussion of God and God's will.

Why not call it 'Godwill's Law'? Seems fitting, appropriate. *shrugs*

As for will god eventually end up in a topic unrelated to god/god-ish things... I chose the middle option. Sometimes it'll happen, other times it won't.
