Twenty five hundred BC. Shortly after the era of the pyramids in Egypt. And long before the word "Canaan" appeared in either the Old Testament or in Egyptian chronicles. A LONG time ago. The DNA of the folks who sculpted it is probably in the modern people on both sides of the fence around Gaza. Both modern Palestinians, and modern Israeli Jews.

Anat was adopted by the Greeks who called her Athena. The Greek goddess of war was also the goddess of love and beauty.
