What does late age at onset, atypical symptomatology, or subthreshold symptomatology, or all of these mean in Pervasive Developmental Disorder Not Otherwise Specified (Including Atypical Autism)?

It's confusing, because Pervasive Developmental Disorder Not Otherwise Specified (Including Atypical Autism) is a form of Autism and Autism is a developmental disorder, It is now known as ASD Level 1.

"late age at onset, atypical symptomatology, or subthreshold symptomatology," are all ways of saying "it looks like autism, but not exactly like the list of symptoms we originally laid out for autism."

Now that makes more sense and I will talk about it with my psychiatrist, because I am historically diagnosed with PDD-NOS, and in 2013, I was just simply considered to have Autism, Autism Spectrum Disorder.
