I havent had an episode of depression for a while. These last few weeks have been very hectic, I've been sick and I'm exhausted. I find myself plummeting into the darkness. There just seems no hope of anything ever being any better. My special interest is distracting and not at all practical. I am unable to work. My body feels like it's destroying itself with stress. I can't make friends. I don't fit in anywhere, even amongst the freaks. Everything I do seems to be done in a half-hearted way. Can't focus. For various reasons I can't maintain meds to improve things. Can't, can't, can't!
Feels terrible!

Sounds like a serious case of burnout. I have had a few and the remmedy I found that I would do was to get rid of all committments and (In my case) I sold or gave away anything that gave me stress.

Get help! The last time I realized through this site what it was and I reached out and got help. Before that it came close to life or death situations. Get help!

I’m so sorry you are feeling so bad. Been there. I know it feels awful and hopeless. I’ll offer you a hug if you are comfortable with that. People here care.

Thanks everyone. It's not quite the life or death place just yet.
I think things got much worse because a course of antibiotics messed with my gut flora. I was already low and then the pills messed me up completely. Ugh!

Thank you for letting us know you are doing better. I don’t know if it is an aspie thing or not, but when I am down, I can’t imagine things will ever get better. They always do. But I can’t see out when I am in the valley.

I’m glad you are feeling better.

Not a Aspie thing. More like a classic depression thing.

When I get down, I feel this way.

I'm glad you're doing better now.

Antibiotics can be really harsh on the stomach and make you feel much worse (as you've experienced). I would recommend taking probiotics to help....something like Yakult or Greek yogurt (way cheaper than Yakult).

I know probiotics in pill form are available too, but I don't have enough knowledge with these to recommend any. Might be worth researching.

I have been doing probiotics. They only seem to start helping after the antibiotics were finished.

Yeah, I read they cancel each other out if taken around the same time. Drs tend to recommend taking them after you've completed your course.
