Sorry, the forum software is having none of it and fails to merge the threads.

I'd copied them both to modspace and tried there - it's just as well I did because the destination thread (the oldest) lost several pages in the process.
So we'll have to keep the two flavors - one with a poll and the other without.

I got an issue. Attempted to login on mobile and got this error message.

59 hours? I'm pretty sure the password was correct, and if it wasn't, I only tried to log in once. Is that too many failed login attempts?

Second question. Is it true that changing the password will fix the issue, or is it a bad idea because I will be logged out from this device as well and won't be able to log in anywhere because of the 59 hour lockout?

Another issue which I now think is related: sometimes, when I clicked on "edit profile" from "my account", I got to the right page but on the top left it showed in red an error like "3 attempts remaining". It didn't specify or explain anything about it and it wasn't a login attempt, it also happened inconsistently. The last time I saw this error message was days ago. Why wouldn't this counter reset every day?

Does the counter reset at all?
Is this a system of incremental punishments? It's 59 hours now, will it become even longer later if the bugs keep occurring?
Can a moderator or admin help me out here?

Which platform/browser are you using?
There have been issues caused with mobile platforms where the wrong or partial page is displayed, with a lot of functionality missing entirely.

If you're certain you'd entered the correct password the error message is clearly bogus, as is the wait time of 59 hours.
Changing your password won't change the activity of the forum or how it responds - you'll just have a different password.

The odd page you found when clicking on "Edit profile" has been seen and resolved by using a different platform.
It's clearly not the usual behavior as evidenced by there being, I think, just two reports.

Please try logging on from a desktop or laptop.

Hey, I got same issue although different flavor..
I logged on mobile earlier today and didn't logged out, tried to log on laptop and got denied with this error.
On each attempt the hours adding up.
I got scared and got back to mobile and the counter were rising... it started from 10h and got gradually higher up to 56h (and then suddenly dropped and showing 14) I can see it only on my profile edit page on mobile l, but I'm unable to login on laptop

Sorry on mobile I can't see responses

Android 10 & FF on mobile
And W11& Chrome on laptop but I suspect maybe it's because I'm logged in on mobile and using multiple tabs(?) Or some special character from password escaped
Is there any way for you guys to check logs if seriously something is DDoS'ing logging in my name or is it fake, or maybe my name is really triggering an exception if does please write on PM preferably Thanks

It's unlikely to be DDoS'ing or someone logging in under your name, likewise your use of multiple tabs.
Usernames do not trigger exceptions.

If in doubt log out from all devices and try again on just the Win11 laptop and Chrome.
Problems may be caused by browser add-ons so if possible, temporarily disable those.

Responses via PM would be preferred.
