I don't believe sloppy, indifferent, inefficient medical care is just for Autistics. Medical providers are (generally) human and flawed.
In the last few years my medical life has gotten more "interesting" and I've also observed that the same question will get different answers from different individual providers.

I recall from reading a paper years ago that a higher incidence of epilepsy is one of the multitude of reasons for the reduced life expectancy in those on the autism spectrum.
