Who is flooding the thread with posts defending the Muskrat?
I have taken the position of "Wait and see what develops".

BTW. You aren't one of those ppl who believes Twitter WASN'T left-leaning dominant before Musk took over, are you?

Conservatives before Musk, Progressives now act as if they are entitled to a twitter account. In the words of William Shatner "Get a life".

Twitter is dominant at the moment but social media platforms don't last forever, remember My Space? Musk did not like twitter and did something about it. Progressives have to find a way. I am not optimistic they will find a good one. It would be a mistake to try and create a progressive version of twitter. They tried that with talk radio. Air America did not work out too well. That was thirty years ago, what about today? To fix a problem one must understand the problem. In watching progressive media I am hearing "Free Speech", "Free Speech", "First Amendment", "First Amendment". That is not an issue at all, it's a private company.

To be fair, theres nothing to defend. He's a businessman and businessmen are all corrupt to varying degrees (some worse than others).

Just a friendly argument here. Disagree as you like.
But cow dewormer was debunked? Yes, it was, but I think you mean something different than I do. There were in fact plenty of people who swore up and down for political reasons that the dewormer would cure Covid. Probably still are... at least those who haven't died for that political choice.
If Fauci was complicit in a manmade Covid virus. Even by providing financial support (he is a doctor who studies viruses, and they were a lab specializing in that discipline), doesn't make Fauci responsible.

-Ppl erroneously called it "Horse Dewormer". It wasn't the case. Misrepresentation.
-Trump stopped the Gain of Function project, but that dick fauci continued to do it.

End of story. 8)

Call it what you want, it's also horse dewormer. It kills parasites, not viruses like Covid.
Gain of Function is how we understand virology. I'd much rather depend on a legitimate scientist like Fauci on such matters than a failed businessman like Trump who thinks he had gained his uncle's scientific acumen through osmosis of some sort.

Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't that dick fauci argue that it was better that GOF was done in China in case of viruses escaping?
"How did that work out?" 8O
That is a pretty dumb POV when you consider that AAAAmeria had much more experience in bio-security than China.

As I mentioned before, after the joint venture of creating the Wuhan bio-lab with the French was completed, the CCP kicked them out.
Unfortunately, for the 6 million plus ppl who died of covid to date, the CCP's biosecurity protocols weren't up to the job, erm, assuming it is correct that the Wuhan Flu was manmade, which I do.

If the Covid virus had escaped from the Chinese lab. And even if it did, ultimately, the fault lies with the Chinese lab.

Quite right.

I should have posted, "Flooding this thread with posts in a vain attempt to defend Elon Musk justifies neither his actions nor his hypocrisy."

Thank you for your input.

It WAS a private company PRETENDING to be a platform.
Let us see if Twitter is now a platform or a publisher under Muskrat. 8)

fauci was complicit and he has stonewalled and done mental gymnastics redefining "Gain of Function" to avoid accepting responsibility.
Presumably, like Dictator Dan over here, he had powerful ppl protecting him. 8O

This may or may not have something to do with that:

Last night, car carrying lil X in LA was followed by crazy stalker (thinking it was me), who later blocked car from moving & climbed onto hood.

Legal action is being taken against Sweeney & organizations who supported harm to my family.

Posting locations someone traveled to on a slightly delayed basis isn’t a safety problem, so is ok.

It seems to me that Fauci was demonized on the right starting with how he had laughed at Trump on live TV. From there, he was further attacked for his stance against Trumpian pseudoscience and Covid denial. I'm suspicious of all the charges against him, with all the faux outrage that goes with it by conservatives.

And you don't have to be a conservative to say that. 8)

From my personal observation, he seems like a decent enough guy to me, and a trustworthy scientist. Again, the right put him in their crosshairs because he had made light of their orange messiah and his goofy alternatives to vaccinations.

I'd consider their hatred to be a badge of pride.
