Association between Yahweh and the Christian Trinity?

I used to think of Yahweh, or Elal, as being the equivalent of God the Father. He just kept his only begotten son, Jesus, who was also him in a different person, a secret until one day (maybe he was annoyed with his son for some reason?) he decided it would be fun to send Jesus to Earth to be tortured and crucified. Or, maybe he was tired of the animal sacrifices. I don't know.

Anyway, it seems that Yahweh might actually have been Jesus rather than God the Father, at least according to the thoughts of early Christians. Per Jude 5

Most translations have this as "the Lord" rather than "Jesus", but Jude does specifically state "Jesus."

Well, we have the Bible to read, plus thousands of years worth of musings by theologians. It can't be that hard.

The bible just hints about it. The official statement from the church of England on the nature of the Trinity is the closest to the truth I think.

 THIS  is about as official as it gets for people following the Reformist tradition.

Trinity indeed? God is actually a quintinary. One being in five parts. These parts being the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, God's Word and God's Name. Obviously God's Name is an entirely seperate being from God. God and God's name probably don't even agree with eachother most of the time. The same applies to God and God's word (perhaps even moreso).

The father and the son don't necessarily see eye to eye. Such is often the case between children and their parents. The Holy Spirit never disagrees because the Holy Spirit isn't permitted to have any opinions at all. The Holy Spirit never does anything. He leaves most of the work to the Father and the Son while God's Name and God's Word pick up the slack.

The nature of the trinity is such that anything done by one is done by all. They are simultaneously divided and indivisible.

From a Christian point of view, all three aspects of God are the Yahweh who spoke to Moses.
