Sometimes I do find it hard to not hear what is going on in this country as the well as the rest of the world when I hear the news. I just feel sick and tired about price rises, strikes, and stuff like that. It's made out as though we are like a country whose economy is as bad as some poor developing countries like for example: Zimbabwe under Robert Mugabe where prices doubling to the point that ordinary people were unable to afford even the most basic essentials. I remember hearing that the UK's economy is worse than that of other countries such as Russia which was sanctioned for waging a war in Ukraine but their economy probably making money from the war. I know all this stuff is beyond my control and that I can't do anything about it and that everyone else is living with it the same as me. But I just seem to think they make it sound much worse than maybe it actually is.

I'm also quite fed up with some protests going on disrupting even in places which normally you wouldn't come and see them protesting in. There was one guy from Just Stop Oil who in front of lots of people watching live on TV during a snooker tournament jumped on a snooker table and covered it with orange powder. I feel people have the right to protest but now I just seem to think its going a bit too far. I mean I never saw anyone before coming into a building where snooker was being played and a protest erupts.

If you follow the news too closely, it will unfortunately have that effect. There's plenty of good news around too, but we have to search more deeply for those stories. The mainstream media's chief aim is to focus on all the bad news and aggravate bad events or situations even further. Headlines are usually clickbait: they come up with headlines that sound so outlandish that we get hooked.

The UK is becoming s**t. But I won't go into it all because I just sound embarrassingly clueless whenever I'm ranting about it and then end up unintentionally offending people.
