Which ones are your favourite? I am liking the wriggly slug right now.

I used to have a lovely metal fidget spinner but I lost it :skull:

I benefit from them a lot

Not the comerically-produced type.
I bought a bunch of adult chew toys and other stim things but they were crap.

I'm very particular about my stim things.
I can't wear jewelry, so fidget rings are out of the question.

I eat pens like they're going out of style.
They have to be a fairly specific type.
I ended up just buying packs of 12 pens and I'll go through them in a day or two.

As for touch-fidget, I also use DIY stuff like satin or the hem of my shirts.

Nothing specific. When I do get fidgety I use whatever is around - often pens and pencil, but nothing is completely safe from me. I might slide a key off a ring and then replace it, or arrange my pocket change in order of size, or balance a coin on the end of my finger and see if I can get it to ring. But I don't seem to get fidgety very often these days. If I've got my guitar on my knee, I find it difficult to resist playing it, even if I'm trying to be quiet.

Do you chew pens like I do?

If so I'm in good company.

These are my favourites.

I chew them so hard I've choked on little shards and had ink explode on my face.

Whoops.

The chew toys for adults weren't the same hardness or texture and didn't work at all.

I think I've got that one, it's my favorite when I can actually make noise without annoying people. I've also got a calming jar full of glitter that I use at work during my breaks and one of those Ono rollers. The roller is kind of on the expensive side and isn't as good, but it's also far less disruptive and more easily used in places where the other ones can't be used.

I haven't had a chance to try my worry balls in quite a while, but they'd probably work pretty well.

I used to, though rarely as intensively as in those photos. Don't know what made me stop - I can't remember any accidents.

Me too. In High School, I actually chewed through the ink cartridge and got Ink all over my face before I realized it was leaking - It took DAYS to get it off. I even had blue teeth.

I %&^&ing LOVE fidgets and have tons of them. My favorites include the fidget cube, a "fidget pad" that is very similar, and infinity cube.

edit:

Re: chewing on stuff

Omg, so much. I chewed on all of my pencils throughout my school years, and for many years (and still do) chew on pieces of plastic to the point my front teeth have permanent indents from it.

Same! The pictures are tame compared to what I do. Those blue lids would be totally shredded into bits.
I don't swallow the bits but I have to spit them all out carefully.
I try not to have that kind of pens around the house unless I'm in a bad state.
I don't chew clicky pens so they're a lot safer.

I don't think I ever did pencils, but it's possible I did them as a child.

A chunk of soft wood my boyfriend got for crafting, not sure what kind maybe basalt wood idk, a wood that is soft and good for marking window panes and door frames on minature terrain. But like it is satisfying to dig my fingernails into that so my boyfriend chopped off a piece for me to fidget with cause I wouldn't leave it alone.

Currently it is that and a couple random stress balls I've found while trying to declutter my apartment, Idk where they even came from but did kind of find it helpful to squeeze thm

This thread made me think I might be odd. I've never fidgeted. If I had any tendencies grade one (in China) had fixed that for everybody. We had to listen to lectures with our hands behind our backs. I guess I can't complain about my neat and clean writing tools and my perfect nails. :D

I wouldn't worry about it, fidgeting/stimming isn't a requirement for diagnosis.

I also love those slugs, I have three different sizes and they all have a very different feel- the tiny one is nice to fidget with one hand while reading, and the big one has a reassuring quality to it, like holding a small stuffed animal

I have quite a few other kinds as well- one of those things with the repoppable buttons, a glitter jar that I made, some silicone jewelry (although I find the texture of them not quite satisfying), and a springy cat toy
