Why no multiquote

This is 2023, where is the multiquote feature?

I think the nicest way to put it is that the forum is in "maintenance only" mode. No new features have been added for a while nor are they ever likely to be. If you really want new features, the first step would be buying the site from the owner.

^ have to do that manually here. Here the quote button starts a reply with the entire post quoted ready. An extension like this is what is being referred to:

This extension enables you to highlight (select) parts of posts and quote only that highlighted part. It works similar to the quoting function in the topic review when you are on the posting page.
Once you have selected a part of a post, a floating quote button appears near your cursor. Clicking that new button does the magic. When quick reply is enabled, the quote BBcode is inserted in the QR text area. Otherwise, you'll be taken to the posting.php page just like with hitting the regular quote button but with only the highlighted part of the post.

A second feature is multi-quoting. You can tick a new multiquote button on each post. When you have selected one or more posts to quote, a floating quote button appears in the bottom right corner. Clicking that button takes you to the posting screen as with regular quoting but now you have multiple posts quoted in your message text area.

The multi-quote option works over multiple pages in a topic and even multiple topics.

A little manual effort is worth the result.

Besides, this website will likely drop off the Internet before it could ever be upgraded.

Seriously, I don't think WP generates any money, I see no ads and there's no revenue stream of any kind. So any hours he would spend on it, he can spend them elsewhere on someting that pays back.

On the other hand, it's something the current (and probably earlier) release of phpBB can do.
Just... not here.
(another good reason for keeping it up to date)

But really, it's not that difficult to do manually.
