Interesting news yesterday. He gave the most petty resignation speech I've ever read.

This means a by-election in his constituency!

Earlier Nadine Dorries resigned too. Is she running off with Boris Johnson?

But anyway. What is Johnson going to do now? I dread to think.

He's such an embarrassment. But not quite as embarrassing as the ones who continue to cheerlead for him, a lot of whom by some strange coincidence are in his honours list.

I think Dorries may have resigned because she wasn't in his honors list. She said earlier in the day that she wouldnt trigger by-election if she was given an honour. I think she probably was in Johnson's original list but Sunak took her out and she quit so Sunak would have to lose a by-election.

I'd love to think this is the end of Johnson, this is the flush that finally rids us of that turd, but I fear he's not done yet.

Oh gosh and I know people in real life who cheerlead for him. Apparently BJ stood up to his MPs over things like renewable energy, disabled benefits etc. Apparently BJ wanted more renewable energy and more benefits for people. WTF.

And apparently the modern state of the economy is all the fault of Tony Blair for some reason! WTF.

What are these people on about?

^Anyway, that was a rant!

That makes sense about Dorries, it sounds like her behaviour. She is BJ's little devotee.

Yes, BJ will be back, apparently as an Independent Candidate for Dorries' seat. I just hope he goes to America and spends the rest of his life lecturing the Americans about something

Now they've finally published their verdict on him about Partygate, his remaining support among MPs is said to have fallen.

I really hope so.

Now we aren't bombarded with his flowery waffling speeches, it's showing even more what an obnoxious windbag he is.

Unfortunately he's now got a column in the Daily Mail. Of course I won't be reading it, but it's sad to think that he's still got a way of churning out propaganda. He's also getting (over)paid for giving lectures. It seems if you've been Prime Minister, your words are automatically worth a fortune.

But I suppose the good news is that he's probably got less support among politicians than Trump has.

Ugh yes, the Daily Mail readers will be lapping up his shite. How they can support the tosspot when he and his government PARTIED WHILE PEOPLE DIED ALONE OF COVID DUE TO FOLLOWING THE GOVERNMENT'S RULES! I will never understand that.

It's not like they spent hours working out a dance routine and then performed it to camera in the corridors of a hospital where people ARE dying and then posted it to tiktok, that would be a bit twisted wouldn't it.

People are partying all the time and getting on with their lives whilst somebody, somewhere is dying alone of something. It's really not something worth getting worked up about.

Either they knew it wasn't any more serious than the flu and that the average age of death was higher than life expectancy, orrrrrr they were on a suicide mission.
I've got a hunch it was the former.

Lockdown depended on the public complying, which they did until enough people didn't and it became unworkable. If you wanted it, knowing full well that would mean people dying alone, then what are you complaining about?

I have no idea how you can possibly defend them. They are the government. They made the rules about people keeping their distance and out of hospitals, which they then broke. That is complete hypocrisy.

Yes people party while others are dying somewhere, but they aren't the government and don't know and don't laugh at the people dying.

I know 4 people who died of covid, 1 who only just survived and 1 with long covid (a 17 year old). None were older than life expectancy.

Ugh. My blood runs cold at the lack of empathy shown. Brrr.
