Of course this won't just apply to environmental activists, it will apply to anyone protesting. If not now, soon. I don't like the way this is going because our right to protest is, or should be, part of democracy. Protests are meant to be disruptive. That's the point of them.

Anything could be declared 'a disruptive protest' and stopped...Such as picket lines. Protests against things like Brexit, deporting refugees to Rwanda, any unfair law. Pride celebrations. Music festivals.

Anything.

Here in the US, it's legal to run over protesters with your car in some (red) states.

They say it's about riot prevention, but we all know it's about stifling dissent.

Similar laws are being introduced in Australia as well.

Florida (of course, Florida) has a similar law but I think it is tied up in the courts. A new law this term prohibits demonstrations at the state capitol. Both advanced by DeSantis.

Unless, of course, the picketers' signs say "DeSantis is God".

Oklahoma has a similar law.

Hm...so it's happening all over the world. We're gradually being beaten into submission. Not good.
