Donnie Dementia's going downhill. Very downhill. Sad.

Person, man, woman, TV... car... thing... other thing.

If I were on his legal team I would be saving those video clips and telling trump his best chance of staying out of jail is an insanity defence. I dunno if he'd ever admit he's nuts, tho.. maybe rather go down a maga martyr than admit to his cult members that he's batshit f*****g crazy.

If the UNABOMBER wasn't willing to plead insanity (despite a solid case existing) I doubt Donnie Dementia will.

Donnie Dementia.

I think that is up there with the other insult you mentioned in a different thread - 'Chad Thundercock'.

Chad Thundercock definitely isn't mine.

That's Chad Thundercock, he's the Chad that incels are angry at.

The Trump phenomenon has been going on for over 9 years now. Be it the socialists, the neo liberals, the anti Trump conservatives, whatever is left of the moderates still have not figured out how to handle the MAGA’s. They have had us figured out from day 1. All those prosecutors with all their degrees are throwing everything they can at him and yet it is still very much in doubt that they will be able to prevent Trump presidency the sequel.

So who is stupid exactly?

What makes you think he has a >50% chance of becoming president again? :?

A recent article:

"Ex-White House Aide Reveals Why Trump Wouldn't Wear A Mask During Pandemic"

He was literally worried the masks would make him look bad.

Quote:
A new book reveals why Donald Trump almost never wore a mask during the peak of the coronavirus pandemic, even prior to the development of effective vaccines and treatments for COVID-19.

He was worried about his makeup, according to Cassidy Hutchinson, who was an aide to Mark Meadows when he served as Trump’s White House chief of staff.

I did not say he has greater than 50 percent of winning I said it is very much in doubt that all the people working to prevent Trump from being reelected will be successful.

I will repeat what I wrote in the authoritarian thread
"If the election were held today Trump would win. No matter what happens in the news the polls have consistently said it is a deadlock or a close race. Because the electoral college is set up to advantage less populated states the Republicans would win any close race. Hillary famously won the popular vote by 2 percent and lost where it counts the Electoral College.

But But what about 2020? Biden won by the popular vote by 4 percentage points and the Electoral College by a seemingly comfortable 306 to 232 margin. Seemingly is the operative word. Switch a very small percentage of votes in a few swing states and you would have had a different result. That is why they are called swing states.

Just in the last week Biden during a press conference overseas said I have to go to bed and walked out of a medal of honor ceremony before it was over. And the corruption allegations may not be near Trump levels but they are beginning to gain some traction. And because the allegations involve foreign involvement they are potentially worse than the corruption we expect of politicians.

The Democrat voters know this and by a large margin do not want Biden as their nominee. Which begs the question why has there not been a serious challenger to Biden? The Republican politicians are famously paralyzed by their base. Dems thinking of challenging Biden are paralyzed also. A challenger to Biden is going to have to point out his age and any corruption. Should they not get the nomination the Republicans have their attack ads made for them and the challenger gets blamed for reelecting Trump.

Ok what if Biden becomes such a liability that they have to dump him. If not Biden then who? Gavin Newsom? Give me a break. Again the Republican attack ads are made for them. Scenes of hordes of homeless on Hollywood Blvd, San Francisco. Mobs looting stores just because they can, it is not about Black Lives Matter anymore, stores closing, Rolling blackouts etc. New York City's mayor saying migrants are going to destroy New York City is another gimme. "

Off Topic
Notice while I said Trump would win if the election were held today when talking about 2024 I said Republicans. For whatever reason Trump can't make it whoever the Republicans nominate is going to be a variation of MAGA. America will careen full bore towards authoritarianism.

Is "very much in doubt," >50% doubt? I would guess so. Which means you believe trump has a >50% chance of winning.. (which I do not believe he does. MAGAs are nuts and will vote for him even if he's in jail convicted on all 91+ counts already, but they don't make up a critical mass of voters - there aren't enough die hard MAGAs to elect him.)

Whether it’s 40 percent or 51 percent the in my opinion the odds are too high for me to sleep well.

This is not necessarily a binary situation. In my opinion if it was a straight vote elect Trump or not Trump would not come close because you are correct there are not enough MAGA’s. If the Democrat nominee is unappealing enough you may be able to get enough Trump haters to stay home or possibly vote for a third party in those swing states to reelect Trump.

Do not forget the not MAGA Republican-Conservative type voter who hates Trump but who have and will vote for the Republican nominee for policy reasons because in their mind a very flawed “conservative” candidate is better than a “woke” Democrat. It does not matter if the nominee is actually “woke” as long as the nominee and the party are perceived that way. Perception is why despite everybody saying they hate negative campaign ads they are still the predominant type of political ads.

Polls are not votes and even if they are accurate they are a snapshot of now thus do necessarily indicate what will happen in November 2024. That said when the polling has been relatively consistent over a long period that is something to pay attention to.

You think that that a bunch of actual convictions would be different than “just” indictments. Obviously actual convictions would be uncharted territory. After over 8 years of unchartered territory that was supposed to doom him politically and it not happening I have my doubts despite that by all logic and morality convictions should doom him it will.
