I'm on a Criterion kick lately. Recently watched Dressed To Kill, mindblowing

I can't say I've got a lot of the Criterion Collection in our collection but I will gladly commend their:

<=>The War of the Worlds [1953]

The movie is a Science Fiction classic and I have a sentimental spot for it because it generally appeared every year on the local TV stations when I was growing up.

And I am still traumatized by the first video disk of the movie I got. THEY RUINED THE MOVIE!! They did not allow for the technical details of how the film was filmed and the result was terrible. The Criterion Collection was more careful with their release of the movie, which looks wonderful!

:-x Now if I could just unsee that earlier disk.

I'm a fan of Criterion releases.
I have a few. Not as many as I would like.
I have:
Ingmar Berman: Four Masterworks - Smiles of a Summer Night, The Seventh Seal, Wild Strawberries, The Virgin Spring
Brazil
Pandora's Box
The Phantom Carriage
Carnival of Souls
Beauty and the Beast directed by Jean Cocteau
Night and Fog
Metropolitan directed by Whit Stillman
Barcelona directed by Whit Stillman
The Last Days of Disco directed by Whit Stillman

There are so many more I wish I had. Like the films of Akira Kurosawa. Ingmar Bergman's Cinema (30 disc set), so many more...
