Need Advice from Radio Broadcasting Workers
I have been finding a full-time job in radio broadcasting as an on-air host or producer. I work part-time as a board operator, which I've been doing for three years. During the last couple of years, I have searched for full-time positions in communications companies, radio-themed periodicals, and job search networks like LinkedIn nearby my area; I have had some interviews, but I've often been beaten out by other candidates (as the industry is competitive.) My final goal is to work full-time at a media outlet like Blaze Media or as a regular host at SiriusXM Satellite Radio in any of their broadcast studios.
Is there any advice that could help me stand out from others and tips as an insider within the industry? Much help would be appreciated.
