I don't know, I dealt with housing insecurity as a kid and have also worked with clients dealing with homelessness as an adult and don't see the appeal. For a lot of people, it can be traumatic. But, I guess maybe there is a difference between choosing that path and having life circumstances force it upon you. What kind of climate would you be dealing with and what will you do for income over the long term if/when savings run out? It's really hard to find and maintain employment while living in a tent.

Damn, I could never live in a tent. I've never even been camping - I have to sleep in a bed, not a sleeping bag.
