The thing that was just discovered is bigger...than the distance between us and the thing.

The bubble is a billion light years wide, but its only 820 million light years away.
===========

Its been theorized that the universe was sudsy at its inception during the big bang. This bubble may have been no bigger than the tiny bubbles in a glass of wine ...that make Don Ho so happy. But space expanded faster than the speed of light for the last 17 billion years so now the bubble is Yuge.
