Been working at home Depot for three years and eleven and a half months and counting. That is , by far, the longest I have ever held a job. Lot attendant. Push carts and load merchandise. Second longest duration, cashier, age 18.

In other posts, wrote about how sister said she is going to sell the house that I live in and buy a bigger one and put a "shed" in the backyard for me to live in. I am paranoid that the "shed" is a "tuff shed"like the ones home Depot sells. Eight feet by ten feet by ten feet. Besides I could not imagine how a refrigerator, litterbox, sink, and bed all fit into the tiny lil "tuff shed".

40 years old
Drivers license, no car, not comfortable driving during work or to work
Got a doctor's note that I am not allowed to lift over fifty pounds, due to back pain
Zero criminal background
Zero drug addictions
Zero "friends"
Job references came from a couple of years ago
BA, cognitive science, 2007. (Stale degrees).
AA, accounting, 2016

None of the jobs that I have had, required a Bachelor's degree or even a high school diploma
Autism, socially awkward
Emotionally fragile
Bad at computers. Word, excel, PowerPoint, access, html, JavaScript, QuickBooks
Long gaps in work history

Previous jobs:
cashier, 5 months
Actor, 3 months
Data entry clerk, made redundant third day. ("Not a good match"
Recordkeeping associate, made redundant third day
Food server, 2 months
Communications contractor, one quarter

Unpaid internships:
Political campaign
Tax preparer
Processed accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll (5 months, made redundant)
Commercial Real estate intern
Set up accounting system in Zero

Volunteer work:
Swim instructor
Teaching assistant

Job interviews that had the nerve to reject my worthless corpse:

Starbucks
Panera bread
Rubio's
Barnes and Noble
Shell gas station

Chevron
Waldenbooks
Sprouts
Bristol farms
Boudin

Forever 21
UCSD bookstore
Six flags
Uc Berkeley bookstore
Uc Berkeley alumni club

Hotel zephyr
Hotel Phoenix
Post office
Dsw shoes
Floor and decor

Cole hardware
Rite aid
Kumon
Clutter
School secretary

What kind of jobs will make the mistake of hiring my emotionally fragile, physically weak, socially awkward, worthless corpse?

I'm confident, spar with someone twice my size, and my work includes government contracts where I was entrusted with people's info.

Still can't find a job. Tons in the same boat.

Are you sure its actually YOU that is the problem?

Geeky freak

There could be a lot of different reasons why you can't find a job

Some of the reasons could be your fault

Some of the reasons are not your fault. For example, discrimination.

However, unless you are in a position where you don't need to earn cash to survive, you still have to get a job. Discrimination or not.
