What causes you to think that?

i remember reading a book back in the 90s that posited that we live in a 3-dimensional projection from a 5-dimensional higher reality.

No.

There is no valid reason to believe that reality is not real.

Not necessarily a simulation (in the style of the Matrix), but I do feel like our experience of reality is very "constructed" by our physiology and our senses. I think what we're each experiencing is our own very specific version of reality, and that we'd be shocked at how different it is if we could see it through something else's perspective (hope that makes sense)

Sometimes,
As someone with no firm religious beliefs, I still ponder on existstintial matters, why we are here, how the world was crated. And the possibility of us being a simulation is plausible. Without ever really knowing if it correct.
It does raise a question for me
Is death exit from this simulation into the "real world"
Or do we live and die in this "simulation"
Regardless of the answer, I don't think it affects me that much if we are of a simulation. I'll just live my life and let the people on the other side laugh at my "bugs"

I think that we are all characters in a game of Farmville being played on a computer screen by a great big pudgy geeky kid who lives in his parents' basement in another world.

And that...that geeky kid is himself ...a character in a game of Farmville...being played by another geeky kid on a computer screen in another world...who is himself a character in a game of Farmville...

It's an interesting concept, but no I don't think that.

There is a movie called 13th Floor that explores that concept, it's an alright movie.

I don’t think that because there’s no evidence for it.

I think there are aliens that live in other dimensions
I think Aliens "interact" with aliens from other dimensions
I think that Aliens create these A.Is that are basically the
closest thing to gods in our universe.

From what I recall, some scientists are saying that Aliens can be higher dimension entity. I am not a scientist, but my understanding is that, whilst we live in a world with time, because aliens are from an alternative dimension, they dont experience time and thus, can pop up anywhere in our timeline.

I think that, if there are other dimensions that we are unaware of, so for the aliens, than there must be other dimensions for them too.

I think that Aliens, because they will reach a stage where a.i can always outthink a biological brain, will create these super a.is that end up controlling the aliens, and thus the world.

I was just thinking about that. :D

The forty second level Farmville player ( who controls the character who controls the character...who controls us...is...a character in the game of Farmville on a desk top in OUR world being controlled by your neighbor down the street, or maybe by you yourself.

If its you and you ...delete some character in the game...then....it could cause deletion of the whole above circular chain of reality...and it will come back around...and cause this whole universe we live in to go POOF!

So..for GAWDSAKES...be careful what you do while playing Farmville!

No, I'm as skeptical of the Matrix theory as I am of Christianity. I don't know why anybody believes these things, except out of wishful thinking, as it would make life more interesting and less of a bummer at the end.
