Monty Python's Life of Brian?

As I recall, they made it quite clear Brian was not Jesus...that Jesus was born a few mangers down.

Quote:

...Once Life of Brian was completed, not everyone was so calm. Some countries, such as Ireland and Norway, banned it outright. (In Sweden it was advertised as being ‘so funny it was banned in Norway’.) In the US, Rabbi Abraham Hecht, President of the Rabbinical Alliance of America, told Variety magazine: “Never have we come across such a foul, disgusting, blasphemous film before.”

In New York, there were picketers outside cinemas, with placards proclaiming that the troupe’s name gave away its diabolical nature: ‘Python = Serpent = Satan’. But in Very Naughty Boys, Terry Gilliam noted one positive aspect of these protests: “I thought at least getting the Catholics, Protestants and Jews all protesting against our movie was fairly ecumenical on our part... We had achieved something useful.”...

I remember when Life of Brian [1979] came out and that there was incredible religious backlash...and I thought then that the backlash was misguided. I had seen Life of Brian and knew that the closest they came to a religious message was in the clip I linked to above which indicates: this movie is about Brian who is not Jesus, but Jesus is real...the manger he was born in even glowed because Jesus was divine...but that was not the manger Brian was born in and Brian is definitely not the Christian Messiah.

I thought the backlash was especially ironic because not too much earlier Oh, God! [1977] came out with George Burns as God and there was no backlash at all...and again in Oh, God! Book II [1980] and Oh, God! You Devil [1984]. Maybe those movies belong on your list?

I thought of another couple of movies that might fit on your list, though these two movies might be rather obscure compared to the others on your list:
 The Devil's Carnival [2012]
 Alleluia! The Devil's Carnival [2016] the sequel

They have some story and strong music.

Robert Eggars' "The Witch" 2015
all his movies are awesome, but this fits the bill for your list.

Have no blasphemous movies to recommend, but I do have a blasphemous song to recommend.

I don't know. These were recommended by people in Reddit.

Maybe a Catholic thought Luther was blasphemous. But, it was the same person who recommended The Messenger.

Without Luther, not only would there be no Protestantism, but no modern Catholicism.

I suppose that would make it blasphemous, for traditional Catholics.
