Can you only live life young and not any other time of life?

I seem to feel I get sick and tired of some people making out as though that when they get to a certain age, life is not great for someone anymore. I get sick of the ageism being thrown around in the media and social media with some people making narrow-minded judgements about how someone else ''should'' do or live their lives. I mean I heard something about Megan Markle where someone was saying that for a woman over 40, her career in Hollywood is finished. They make out as though already at that age as though its equivalent of being 80 and you have ''lived life'' already and its no more from then on even though someone in their 40s still have another 40 or 50 years of life ahead of them.

I've been asked to go see the new film Napoleon starring Joaquin Phoenix which I wouldn't mind seeing and even with that there are some people making out that he is ''too old'' to have played the role at 48 or 49 even though he does look in some way like Napoleon in his later life, he was in his 40s at the Battle of Waterloo and died in 1821 at the age of 51. Phoenix plays him throughout all his life even though Napoleon was in his 20s when he commanded the army during the French Revolution, he was 30 or 31 when he became Consul and 35 when he crowned himself Emperor. Should they have had actors who look like Napoleon in their 20s and 30s to play him at those stages of life in the film then or does age always matter ?

I just retired and turned sixty. I don't miss working. Not at all.
I get to play golf during weekdays when the course is less crowded.

Look at Taylor Swift. She is over thirty and a lot of guys say she is too old for them. Not their type.
Do you think she cares? Why should she care when her boyfriend is a star football player on a on a Championship team? She's too busy earning a bazillion dollars selling out football stadiums with her concerts!

Okaaay.. so live your life doing whatever things you want to for however long you want at whatever age you want vs stopping doing things, or not starting them, because of whatever age you are. Problem solved.

I remember someone saying that when Madonna was 35, there were people saying she should settle down when she was still selling records and touring. I also remember finding out that Cyndi lauper who wrote girls just want to have fun was 30 at the time that single came out and the way she dressed back then looks like something someone younger than her would wear but it doesn't make me think "Oh she sounds too girly, she should sing in a more adult manner". Let them be who they want to be because it can't be hurting anyone.
