How To Stop A Skunk From Smelling? Just leave the poor animal alone. Spraying is a defense mechanism.

If that skunk is Pepe Le Pew from Looney Toons, you could paint a white stripe on a female cat & Pepe would use clogne :lol:

Appreciate their beauty ...from afar. And dont mess with them.

Animals that traffic in chemical warfare tend to be snappy dressers. Instead of being drab gray or brown for camo.

Skunks have wild black and white designs.

Poisonous snakes have colorful designs.

The most awesome are the various arrow poison frogs of the amazon. Wild swirls and dots as if painted by a human artist on acid.

I just remembered that when I was little a classmate brought a pet skunk to school for something like show & tell. The skunk had it's stench gland(whatever it's called) removed. I don't remember the story of how he got it. I don't think Louisiana has wild skunks but I may be wrong & please correct me if I am.

No.

All amphibians have a chemical cocktail in their skin to protect their moist skins from bacteria and fungus. Thats why witches would put "eye of newt" into their brews.

But "Toad lickers" do just that...lick toads and not frogs (as I understand it). And its just the drab looking garden variety brown toads from around her in temperate north america that they ...lick. Arrow poison frogs would be overdosing and probably kill you. Though the world might LOOK like the patterns on an arrow poison frog after you licked a brown toad. Lol!

The police searched the home of a guy in Arizona once on suspicion of drug trafficking. Found no drugs or drug lab in his home. But did find living "football sized" toads ...just hanging out in his living room. They kept him under suspicion. Finnally busted him on toad licking (even thats against the law apparently).

There was a band in the 80s called "the Texas Toad Lickers". And they would actually be hassled by the authorities about their alledged "toad licking activities". :lol:

So if you're a libertarian...go out there and march to defend the rights of all Americans to...lick the amphibians of their choice! :D
