Meh, welcoming a break from "soft," entertainment to war/action stuff isn't necessarily hostile to the soft stuff. If all I saw was soft this and that flowery stuff whatever I'd be pretty stoked for a good war movie, too.

It's the whole next civil war fantasy stuff that's a bit objectionable. Wouldn't wanna give any crazies crazy ideas to act out their crazy fantasies.

Obviously this movie is supposed to be controversial for this exact reason and it's a part of what's going to market the film and get people to see it - very likely including me.

I just hope it doesn't inspire any of the gravy seals militias across the USA to try to kick things off and get their next civil war started is all. I guess it depends how the whole thing is framed in this movie. Maybe it'll just be entertainment and that's it. Maybe it'll be particularly enjoyed by accelerationists, but won't add any real fuel to the fire since they already believe what they believe anyways.

I don't mean to upset you, only to point out that the same people who constantly complain about media being woke for including characters from backgrounds different from theirs, would be just as hostile if a character like you was depicted, because that would be 'too woke' as well.

I don't get why someone would align themselves with people who openly are hostile to them.
