I've been hard core obsessed with soaps since 2018. Is there anyone else here who likes them? My favorite is The Young and the Restless, which is really good right now. It's also pretty cool for me because two of my family members watch them. It's cool that I picked up an obsession that my family members like too.

I didn't think there were any left to be honest. I used to watch General Hospital and One life to live a long time ago.

Sadly there are only four left: The Young and the Restless, The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of Our Lives, and General Hospital. Days is only on Peacock, though.

i used to love neighbours as a kid
i've learned a lot of social skills in that show, apart from all the drama it really is a show about people living their lives.

honestly as i've gotten older, the amount of drama going on doesn't seem as far fetched, there's always something going down somewhere, and thanks to this show, i'm prepared to deal with even the most bizzare scinario

Is that a British soap? I've never heard of it.

Neighbours is Australian.

I hate soap operas. I think they're among the trashiest genres on TV, next to reality TV.

I don't watch any versions of soap operas that are currently being produced, as I'm sure I'd hate them. However, I'm a big fan of episodes of the British soaps Coronation Street and Brookside from the 1970s/80s/90s.

I also love Coronation Street. It's my favourite soap opera. I'd also like to get into Eastenders but I don't know if there's a site where I can watch it for free.

I'm not a huge fan of soaps but I don't mind dipping in and out every now and then.

The thing I've noticed about soaps is that they move so slowly that you can miss them for years and years and they're so easy to just catch up with. It's as though no time has passed whatsoever.

Also you don't even have to watch them in order because they're so slow.

Oh yeah. This is why I like to have them playing in the background. It's comforting to me for some reason.

It's easy to get back into them even if you've not watched them for years.

I just started watching EastEnders again and I'm totally hooked.
