Jimmy M. Sounds like a good investment. I'll have to check it out. I'm into a lot of the "Do it yourself, sell reliance" kind of things.

I've started doing my own pressure canning as well. I restored a 1930s national canner and use that. To me it's fun and,something to feel proud of. Although if anyone that knows me, comes into my apartment and sees it, they have a tendency to find it relatively disgusting since they can see the food through the glass floating in there lol. I'm too weird for even people my age lol. They say why, and I say why not, its fun!

I enjoy growing my own food and canning it for storage. In the countryside, there are many farmers that do this. It is a common thing to do.
