Today we remember Brian Sicknick who died two years ago today defending the Capital.

Also remembered are Howard Liebengood, Jeffrey Smith, Gunther Hashida, and Kyle DeFreytag police officers who comitted suicide later on.

I thank them and all the others who defended the Capital.

I kindly request that this thread stay on topic. There are plenty of other threads dealing with the legal and political implications and “what really happened”.

To all the cops who got beaten over the head with "Blue Lives Matter" signs and flags...we salute you.

My sis works on Capitol Hill...told be how great the mostly Black clean up crews were in ...making it all look like it never happened...made the stench of bear spray and human feces dumped the rioters all...go away like magic.

So... a shout out to those clean up folks as well!

My son and I went to DC and toured the Capitol Building a year and a half ago. It was an amazing experience for both of us. He still talks about it all the time. History and politics are special interests of his.

Anyway, a big thank you to those who defended the Capitol and to those who repaired the damages and cleaned up the mess!

My thoughts are with the families who lost loved ones due to the attack.

Some posts going off topic into a political discussion have been removed.
