Have any of you ever met a professor soccer player (or footballer for those who aren't American)? If so, what were they like?

Doesn't matter who it is, they can be active or retired, male or female, etc.

Yes, from the men's and women's national teams, when my kids were in training.
My son played Elite until U-16.

2 or 3 professional football players from Sheffield United gave a talk at my youth club when I was 15. Some of the other kids knew a lot more about football than I did, but I got a question in - I asked them if they could see an end to the football violence among the supporters at the games. One of them said that he thought it would help if they made it all seated with no standing room for the crowds, so that it would be hard for anybody to start a fight without standing up and being clearly visible.

I also have a nephew who's doing well in a professional team, but I've not met him since he started that. I think he's diagnosed with ASD.

Quite a lot from my club (Reading) and a small handful from higher up

I met former Salisbury striker Matt Tubbs who is now a manager of Non-League Poole Town.

I also met Mart Poom, Theo Walcott, Nick Holmes, Malky Mackay, Luther Blissett and many more to name a few.

No, I have never met somebody of this nature.
