I don’t understand Valentine’s Day, I know it’s about love, but people can celebrate love everyday.

Me neither. I don't understand why anyone would be happy to receive a Valentines day gift on a day where people are practically obligated to give one. It seems meaningless to me. Give a gift on a random day, that seems to me too be far more meaningful.

It's a commercial day to express love to one's romantic partner, I guess?

You can always ignore it.

I love Valentine's Day. I love the commercials and the candy. I love the sweetness of it all. It makes me feel all warm, green and fuzzy inside.

Christmas is kinda the same except instead of the pressure of only celebrating your romantic partner, you also have pressure to celebrate other family & friends & various people you work with & hate(Christmas office parties come to mind)

True.

Although for some people at least, Christmas has a religious meaning.

The religious meanimg is pointless since Jesus was not actually born on that day but the churches pretend that he was.

Ah yeah, wasn't it meant to be actually January?

In any case, that's what some people celebrate, right or wrong. :)

I'm not a huge fan of Valentine's Day. The real party is after Valentine's Day, when all the gourmet candy is half off

I'm not into it because I have extreme sensory aversions to both roses and chocolates.

I've always been partial to "Steak and BJ Day" which is in March.

It's Valentine's Day for men.

And I can eat that half price candy as I celebrate Mick Avory's birthday.

I already bought my mom a little gift for Valentine's Day. I'll probably give it to her on my birthday (Feb. 9th), though.

I'm a little worried Valentine's Day might make her a little sad, since my dad died about three years ago and their anniversary was on Valentine's Day. :(
