Fitness... Demonstrates you are fit.

Doing weights in a way that does not exercize the body but rather exercizes some of the muscles in the body without exercizing ones overall body will indeed gain overall size and weight.

What you are doing is the best overall way to do weights and train yourself up because your overall lifting ability (Strength) is the same without having dead unneccessary weight and bulk.

We could always tell a cyclist who was doing lots of milage on their bikes and a cyclist who only did a bit. The high milage cyclist who cycles throughout the year would have skinny arms and upper body but large strong legs.

I turned up to my brother's wedding party a year ago (he had two, one in China and another back home here in England).

People who knew me from my early twenties didn't recognise me because I have literally doubled in size almost.

And my hair has turned from a reddish colour to dark brown.

And I have tattoos now, whereas I didn't used to.

I used to be like a skeleton upto being about 30 years old and then I got dead dead lazy and started eating and now I'm more or less at the right weight for my height. I can go a bit over or a bit under depending on what I'm doing but I'm not unhappy with the way I look so I suppose that's all that counts

No more like 10 and a half stone

Tomorrow I am going for a run. I wonder if that will burn muscle though?

I think the problem is all this talk about pounds, lbs and stones that messes up your thinking. In the gym use kilos instead. Every kilo is 2,2 pounds. Double the weight and double your muscle gains.

I don't think running burns muscle. I'm not sure if you can burn muscle but I know you can lose muscle sometimes for various reasons

The best way to lose weight is to eat less. It's a simple formula.

It works better than exercise.
