Does anyone else get this obsessed with sports and statistics, or is it just my ASD son?

This is the page he printed for his NFL fantasy league (about 20 friends) to bet with during their Super Bowl party.

The "Super Bowl" seems to be a very American thing.

I think people in the UK where I am from, are more likely to be obsessed by the details of football (soccer).

He's obsessed with every sport, including football (soccer), even Cricket, Rowing, and Rugby.

... Anything with statistics where he can memorise data.

He actually plays / played all the sports too except for American football.

I could not possibly care less about professional sporting events and the hype that surrounds them.

(Well . . . only enough to submit this post, but that's about it.)

I couldn't care less about the Stupor Bowl, or sports in general.

I've filled in a wallchart for every FIFA World Cup (and most of the UEFA Euros) since 2006. Although wallcharts aren't really designed with statistics beyond the final score in mind. Annoyingly they don't even seem to be designed for extra time and penalties, which are almost inevitable for some of the matches.

No. I don't really follow sports. These 'same' people in sports are the 'same' people that used to torment me in school. So why the heck would I cheer for them now. I hope they fail and get injured.

I used to have this mindset and I'm sure some of the adults I play sports with would have been bullies when we were younger, if we were in the same grade. But, so far in my experience playing beer league hockey has been overwhelmingly welcoming and understanding.

Why would you hope some stranger you've never met, never interacted with and never been impacted by in anyway gets injured? How f*****g petty and immature are you? You don't have to be that sort of person and you'll be a better person for not indulging that part of your mind.
